StarkLight 5 Contest is Now Closed

Thanks to our many international contributors to our latest short story contest!

We have had a larger submission pool than previous anthologies, and for that we send out our sincere thanks to everyone who took the time to contribute to our contest.

As our submission pool is quite sizable, look for responses to your work sometime in early April.We will be contacting submittors by April 15th as to the status of their submissions.

We endeavor to have StarkLight Volume 5 available for mid July, and will be posting information about our next short story contests soon!

If you’re eager to contribute other tales, check out our Steam in the Gears short story contest as well as our other contests on our page, listed to the left of this blog.

Sneak Peek at The Alaska Highway

In anticipation of our upcoming release of The Alaska Highway: 75 Years, StarkLight Press is revealing one of our special insert pages that accompany the main narrative. Here is the final page of our section on Rusty Dow, the Chief Engineer of the project and first woman to drive the Alaska Highway. This insert was written by Virginia Carraway Stark.

In addition, here is the first page of our excerpt that explains the nature of Muskeg to our international audience- this insert was written by Tony Stark.

This Saturday at 11 am, check out the Peace River Poetry Group at Faking Sanity, where poets gather to share their work and receive constructive criticism on their poems. The meeting starts at 11 am.

Coming up Tuesday, January 31, StarkLight Press is hosting the StarkLight Writers’ Group at Faking Sanity at 7 pm. Come and join a group of aspiring and published authors in a positive, supportive group that helps you to develop your own writer’s voice.
